On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, following the Annual General Assembly of the Japan Cosmetic Center (JCC), the official launch ceremony of GCC Asia was held in Karatsu, Japan.

GCC Asia is a newly established regional division under the Global Cosmetics Cluster (GCC) network, connecting leading cosmetics industry clusters from across Asia. The launch marks a major step forward in building a more structured and sustainable framework for cooperation among Asian clusters within the global GCC ecosystem.

Representatives from clusters in Thailand, Taiwan, and Korea were invited to join the ceremony and celebrate the official start of this regional initiative.

Participants

The ceremony welcomed representatives from the following GCC Asia member clusters:

Thailand – TCOS   Ms. Lucksupha Prabhawat (President)

Thailand – TCELS Dr. Jittiporn Thammajinda (President, Written Message)

Taiwan – Taiwan Beauty Valley Mr. Peter Wu (President – video message) and Ms. Lillian Lee (Association Representative)

Korea – IBITA Ms. Kelly Youn (Team Leader, on behalf of Chairman JT Youn)

Additionally, a congratulatory video message was shared by Mr. Christophe Masson, Secretary General of Cosmetic Valley (France), the coordinating body of the Global Cosmetics Cluster network.

With the launch of GCC Asia, JCC aims to deepen practical and sustainable partnerships across the region. As the initial coordinator of the division, JCC will continue to support the global expansion of Asia’s cosmetics industry through collaboration, exchange, and shared growth.
